Khazanah Journal of Religion and Technology (E-ISSN 2987-6060) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the empirical study of the interaction between religion, media, and digital technologies. The journal explores how religious ideas, practices, institutions, and communities are shaped, mediated, and transformed through contemporary technological environments.

Religion today increasingly circulates through digital and technological infrastructures—including social media, streaming platforms, online communities, digital games, mobile applications, and algorithmic systems. Religious institutions also actively produce their own media ecosystems, such as websites, digital platforms, online sermons, and faith-based applications. KJRT aims to provide a scholarly platform for examining these developments through social-scientific and interdisciplinary approaches.

The journal prioritizes empirical research grounded in social sciences, including methods from media studies, communication studies, sociology of religion, anthropology, digital humanities, and information studies. While historical perspectives may be considered, the journal primarily focuses on contemporary and emerging forms of digital religion and technology-mediated religiosity. Purely theological or doctrinal discussions are generally outside the scope of the journal.
